Double Header [ 15 July 2006 ]
Reservation Street
Ben and Jamie can be found on the second floor of the house on Reservation Street. The two fooling around in Jamie's bed. It doesn't last long, but they expect that. Ben has a thing. He's finished and Jamie is again unfufilled. But she doesn't have high expectations, even when not with Ben. She rarely comes to climax during sex.

They part ways and later meet up at a kickball game. One of Jamie's secret crushes, Kyle, is there. Jack and Tyler are there too. The game is nostalgic. An old childhood favorite now being played by college co-eds. Everyone enjoys themself.

The game ends. It's Saturday night and the bar is calling. A typical night. Jamie ends up with Tom giving her a ride back. She invites him up, and he accepts. Wasting no time she brings him to her bed and begins kissing him. Her hands wandering over his chest, down his stomach and along the top of his pants. He removes her shirt, she removes his. Jamie is nervous. She thinks back to the last time Tom was in her bed. That time it went as far as Tom struggling to find a condom and successfully getting it on before Jamie decided she didn't want to have sex. It was a confusing situation. Normally Jamie could have one night stands, sex with friends, sex with crushes, no problem. Why with Tom was she nervous? He kisses her neck. Jamie falls for this one everytime. It's one of her sweet spots. She unbuttons his pants and slides her hand down along his thigh. He is hard. He helps her out of her out of her pants, finds a condom and puts it on. This time Jamie allows him to slide in. It is her first "double header" ever. She has sex with two men in one day.

The build-up, the waiting, the 4 months since Jamie and Tom's first kiss, it was being rewarded. The feeling was like no other. By Jamie's normal standards they'd be fucking the first night. But they didn't and although there was no feeling of love, even though Jamie had sex with another man only hours before, there was something more. The sex was better than usual. And they'd be at it again soon.

Stoned [ 4 July 2006 ]
Reservation Street
The residents of Reservation Street may enjoy the occasional psychoactive drug, but as the title would suggest, that is not the topic today. Today is the Fourth of July. Festivities are to be attended. Fish to be tossed. People to be buried in rock. And beer cans to be stoned.

The usual rabble-rousers are present. Camping on the beach. Setting off fireworks. Battling it out Harry Potter style with roman candles. The group sits on the rocky beach, enjoying summer, relaxing. Tossing rocks at other rocks, at beer cans, and inevitably at each other. They cook smores by the fire, play horseshoes by lantern light, and never quit drinking. They stumble down to the beach and lay there gazing up. Watching the northern lights dance in the sky. Thinking things couldn't be better.

Off the Cuff [ 3 July 2006 ]
Reservation Street
In the summer the roof is a good place to find the residents of Reservation St. On this particular day they were there. Likely wondering what fascinating junk they would spot in the back of the next pick-up truck, or how many more times the car playing Holla Back Girl would loop around. This mindless activity was suddenly interrupted by an idea. And they ran with it, the product: impromptu rooftop concert.

Ben called up some band mates, a keg was heaved up onto the roof, soon followed by amps, a drum set, mic stands, all the usual band equiptment. The audience was mostly residents, their friends, and band girlfriends and groupies. The little flat part of roof they had was packed. The concert commenced rather early, around 7:00 pm, on the Monday before 4th of July. Music rang out from the rooftop. Pedestrians down below stopped to listen. The sun began to set. Radio waves buzzed around the audience and band on the roof, sending complaints from east side residents to the police station. No sooner, the police rolled up to the house. Apparently you cannot have impromptu rooftop concerts. Perhaps next time they'll get a permit.

Electricity [ 21 June 2006 ]
Reservation Street
June 21st, the first day of summer. This lazy day finds Jamie and Robbie sprawled out on Jamie's bed, debating the crumbling ceiling above them. Recently Jamie had returned home to find a chunk of her ceiling smashed into bits on her floor. Looking up at the hole they noticed the lights flicker and go out. Music still played from Jamie's MacBook but the rest of the house was quiet. Housemates stopped by, pulled in by the music, hoping that the outage was limited only to their room. Alas the music was being powered by battery.

When the power did not return, and cell phone calls turned up that both cities were without power, Robbie and Jamie decided to do what any rational, electrically-deprived individual would do. Drink beer. As you may know, electricity is not required to run a tap. So they headed out to the the brewing company. Upon arrival they noticed they were not the only ones with this idea. The bar became packed with people. All the usual friends showed up. They drank until dark. Until the bartender yelled "last call", which resulted in much questioning of the time, which yielded the bartender's answer, "because I can't see."

They headed back to Reservation St. to continue their drinking. Sitting on the porch in the dark. Watching across the canal as the town finally lit up. Drunkenly cursing the re-establishment of power, refusing to turn on the lights, and instead remaining on the porch to drink.

Spots [ 15 June 2006 ]
Reservation Street
Jamie hadn't slept last night. It was 7:00am and she, Gary, and Colton were headed to breakfast at the hotel restaurant and bar where Gary and Colton worked. Drinks all around to end a long night of boozing. Upon returning home for bedtime, Jamie was awoken by a phone call and cramped legs. Everyone was planning to grill out and, naturally, drink. Afternoon led into night and the group found themselves visiting numerous bars. Regretfully they ended up at the dance club.

Everyone has something to say about the dance club. Creepy men, slutty girls. Dirty, very drity. Yet they do boast 25c beers and hot chicks walking around selling test tube shots on Thursdays. And of course, it is the only bar in the two towns with dancing. Most tempting of all for the residents of Reservation St. was that the dance club was one quick jump across the street.

This thursday found Jamie at the dance club. Yet there were friends drinking at home. This dilemma was solved by mulitple trips back and forth from the house to the dance club. Many shots and beers later shoes were lost. But traveling between locations did not stop. After too many drinks Jamie landed herself in the 3rd floor bathroom. Her prime puking location. It was a very warm night and the house was baking. After being sick Jamie rolled around the third floor carpet, laying on the steps, until Gary pulled her up and into his room. There she passed out in bed with him and woke up spotty.

Spots covered Jamie's entire body. The cause unknown. Was it the dirty floor of the dance club, the puking, the hot weather, an allergic reaction, an std, some strange disease from Gary's dirty, dirty room, or due to the fact that she hadn't slept in 48 hours? Finally diagnosed as heat rash due to the heat and dehydration, Jamie was covered in tiny red bumps for the following 3 days.

Rampant Imaginings [ 29 May 2006 ]
Reservation Street
Other than Jamie's night of sneaking up to cuddle in Gary's room, Gary had become a regular in Jamie's bed. They didn't always have sex. They would watch movies and enjoy each others company. Jamie found it to be quite enjoyable. They joked about Gary always spilling chips in the bed and Jamie never being able to decide on a move to watch. They snuggled. Jamie was falling for him. She thought about him constantly. And she knew the time would come when she would be forgotten. When she would spend nights alone wishing he hadn't lost interest. It had happened many times. Always the same. Fall for a guy, have a whirlwind affair, and one day he's gone. These fears scared Jamie. Enough that she kept her feelings secret. She would pretend that her interest was only in sex. Pretend that she could fuck boy after boy and have no feelings. When all along she knew the truth. She was the one who became attached. Once she found someone who she liked, thoughts of him filled her days, and she longed to spend every night with him. But still she hid this.

At noon on Monday morning Robbie and Tyler stopped by to wake Jamie for lunch. They were not at all surprised to find Gary sharing the bed. Jamie left Gary asleep in her room and started off on a trek to Subway. If only there were less bars between their house and Subway. Perhaps then they would have achieved their goal. Instead they found themselves at the bar drinking beer from their special promotion glasses which they purchased full of beer for only $3 and could refill for only $2. After a few refills the three decided to return home for a cook-out on the roof in celebration of the holiday. Everyone attended the roof party. The group enjoyed hot dogs and s'mores. Drank well into the night. Jamie hoping the alcohol would diminish her sleepless nights spent thinking about Gary.

Sunrise [ 28 May 2006 ]
Reservation Street
Sunrise these days happens pretty early. The easiest way to enjoy it is to catch it right before you go to bed. Weekends on Reservation Street seem to always find someone still awake for sunrise. Tonight found the entire house bustling as the sun creeped in the windows and the birds began to sing.

The evening started off innocently. A taco salad dinner party. After dinner the Tequila came out. And after many centiliters of shots the group decided to head to the bars and then to Reservation Street. Various guests in tow. All the usual suspects were present and a few new faces. Tyler was hosting guests in his room playing Super Smash Bros. Gary was running the pool table with more guests. Nick was running around in a pair of purple shorts that belonged to Jamie. He and Erin were engaging in a DDR battle. Jamie was jumping floors between playing DDR, pool, and flirting. Robbie was likely passed out in his room. This lasted well into the night and morning. The residents and guests, all except Robbie, running around the house, yelling, and carrying on.

As the guests walked home in the sunlight the residents settled in. Tyler joined Robbie. Gary joined Jamie. Everything seemed right in the house, the residents seemed happier. But perhaps it was just the morning glow of the sunrise.

Elevation Changes [ 26 May 2006 ]
Reservation Street
The residents of Reservation Street can often be found towering above the town on their roof. Some staying near the center of the flat area, others feet hanging over the edge, and the brave or rather crazy scooting along the different peaks extending out from the center. Tonight Jamie, Gary, Robbie, Cindy and Tyler were on the roof enjoying beers and watching the never ending stream of traffic. Jamie was enjoying her new house and that it allowed her to hang out with Gary. She was flirting with him tonight. The only thing distracting her from this objective was Ben who kept sending text messages. Knowing fully well she would have to quit her flirting with Gary she invites Ben over. The traffic had died down and the beer had run dry. In Jamie's room Ben was sitting on the edge of the bed next to Jamie. He leaned in to kiss her. Ben had told Jamie that she was a great kisser. This was a genius move on his part since it only led to more kissing. No worries about whether the person wanted to be kissed, no thoughts that they might not be enjoying it. The two took turns removing clothing from one another as they continued to kiss. There was no other foreplay. When Ben moved over top of Jamie to slip in he found her wet, little did he know it was not him on her mind. Jamie realized she was just going through the motions now. A feeling she had felt many times. Lying there, enjoying it, but mind wandering. Typically thoughts would be of sleep and wishes for a quick finish, or of plans for the following day, occasionally contemplating more profound things. Tonight her mind was on Gary. She excused herself and mentioned going to the bathroom. She went downstairs where Robbie and Tyler were laying on the pool table, just lounging and talking, legs hanging over the edge. Jamie laid down next to them. As the three stared at the ceiling she explained her dilemma. They sympathize but offer little advice. Jamie heads back upstairs, stops outside her door. It is quiet inside, but Ben is there. She keeps walking. She climbs the stairs to the third floor and knocks on Gary's door. She finds him in bed and slips in next to him. They cuddle. It makes her feel warm and fuzzy, but she knows she can't stay long. Eventually she comes back down and into the arms of Ben. They cuddle but it doesn't feel the same.

Reservation Street [ 19 May 2006 ]
Reservation Street
The house towers over Reservation Street, standing 3 stories above the ground. Its turret stretching even higher, making it look like some sort of castle. On the third floor Robbie stands in the turret, wearing only boxer shorts, scanning the view from his bedroom. He is the master and this is his manor. A truck pulls into the driveway. It is Jamie and a friend. The two begin unloading dressers and hauling them up to the second floor. To Jamie's new room. Jamie had agreed to movie into the old house months ago. The rent would be cheaper, and she would have people to live with. She had lived in the small apartment for one year and occasionally found it to be lonely. The current residents were all male. Robbie, Robbie's fuck buddy Tyler, Gary, and various frat boys with girlfriends. The house could hold 9 in all. Jamie was excited. Not only did she now have her partners in crime, Robbie and Tyler, living with her she had Gary. The guy who Jamie couldn't stop thinking about. He was cocky, attractive, confident, great in bed, and now living just upstairs.

Brewing Company [ 4 May 2006 ]
Reservation Street
On this fateful day Jack, Steve, and Adam decided to spend the entire day at the local brewing company. Arriving before the bar opened, the boys settle in, with beer in hand, on the couches in the back. Friends come and go all day. The boys make the place home, spreading out with computers and ordering in food. The brewing company is a place frequented often by our friends. Two dollar pints, comfy couches, wireless internet, and a laid back atmosphere. As night approaches the group grows. When the brewing company closes the survivors head across the street to the bar. At the end of the night only Jamie, Robbie, and Gary remain. Robbie has Tyler waiting at home and decides to take off. Tonight Jamie is recovering from the flu, but even though she is feeling a little under the weather, she has Gary on her mind. She heads for home alone. Up in her apartment she wishes she would have made a move, anything to get Gary over. Then she hears a knocking from downstairs. Hopefully she runs out of her apartment, leaps down the stairs and catches Gary just as he is about to give up and head home. She invites him up, and decides to be bold. She grabs Gary, kisses him deep and hard, grabbing at his shirt to remove it and pushing him down onto the bed all at once. Jamie jumps onto him on the bed. She can't keep her hands off him. Within minutes the two are fucking.

The Competition [ 27 April 2006 ]
Reservation Street
As finals week rolls to a close, so does the semester, and the bet / competition that Jamie, Robbie, and Tyler entered into after their return from christmas break. The idea was to set goals for the semester in terms of number of hook-ups differentiating between sex and just fooling around. They had set high stakes and it seemed that Jamie was going to be the only one to reach her goals. Little did she know she was about to exceed them at the last moment, while Robbie and Tyler would go home together as usual, enjoying the sex, but not increasing the numbers. After a night of bar hopping, Jamie found herself at the only dance club. It was quarters night, 25 cent beers, shots in test tubes, creepy men watching fat sluts dance. The usual. There was little of interest to Jamie until she spotted Ben. They had met the previous week when Jamie used Ben to hide behind as Tom walked through the bar. The following night at the same bar Jamie's latest crush Gary was out with Ben's former girlfriend. As Jamie sat at the bar she watched an angry Ben march past her and start punching Gary. She was excited to witness a bar fight, especially one between two men she knew. So back at the dance club Jamie starts dancing with Ben, they head outside for some air and Ben pulls Jamie in close and begins kissing her. Jamie is surprised, and excited by this new prospect. They go separate ways as one of Jamie's only female friends is having her last night out before graduating. With Ben still on her mind Jamie walks home. She wonders if she should dial his number, and nervously presses send. Ben is nearby and the two meet at Jamie's apartment. Once upstairs they begin kissing, clothes come off, Ben desperately attempts to open a condom, finally succeeds, and slides in. Less than 1 minute later Jamie is hot and Ben is done. Sure its one more for the competition so Jamie laughs it off and hopes that next time Ben will be more successful. If only.

Jamie's Regulars [ 24 April 2006 ]
Reservation Street
Upon arriving at graduate school Jamie chose to reside in the south city in a small apartment downtown above a small restaurant. On her side were three apartments, the other two occupied by older men, on the other side of the restaurant were four college guys. These guys were regular bar hoppers, who enjoyed cannabis and the company of female friends. Having spent many nights bar hopping Jamie knew each of the boys. One in particular, Tom, she had been hanging out with more than the others. Jamie’s first impression was that Tom was a little shy and always at the bar when she needed space for flirting. On this Monday evening Jamie invited Tom over to watch a movie and afterwards go for drinks at a downtown bar. This particular bar is often filled with regulars, even on a Monday night. After a couple drinks a regular who Jamie had a keen interest in showed up. Actually Jamie had agreed to go out with Tom because she assumed this regular, Gary, would be present. Gary and Jamie had been flirting for a while, especially in the past month. Gary was known for being somewhat promiscuous with the ladies, a slacker, and a generally dirty boy. But for some reason Jamie found his little faux hawk, painted toenails, girly flip-flops, all topped off with the black blazer (the jacket not car) an extreme turn on. Especially when he was leaning on the bar, biting his lower lip as he looked her up and down. Jamie had met Gary through Robbie, the landlord of the house on Reservation Street. The house where Gary lived, and the house in which Jamie would be moving to in one short month.

The flirting between Gary and Jamie had increased lately because Nick was flirting and spending time with Kelly. Nick is Jamie’s best friend who she at one point had a huge crush on. Kelly is the girl who Nick ditched Jamie for on St. Patrick's Day. Kelly and Gary had a best friend relationship similar to Nick and Jamie. Flashback 1 week, everyone is in attendance at a party, Nick flirting with Kelly, Jamie flirting with trouble as she sets up two men to come home with her. Jamie daringly takes her two current interests Gary and Dan back to her place. Dan passes out on the couch and Gary and Jamie quietly engage in their first act of intercourse. Jamie finds herself extremely hot for Gary making the experience one of the more enjoyable, even though it is restricted by the presence of Dan.

Flash back to the present. Jamie and Tom are at the bar enjoying drinks. Jamie makes a trip to the bathroom, mainly to escape for some flirting with Gary, who shows obvious interest. Jamie proceeds to escort Tom home, as she can obviously do no further flirting with him present. Pretends to be tired, slips into her doorway, waits for Tom to enter his and head upstairs, then sneaks out the door back to the bar.

Jamie finds hanging out with Gary refreshing. The freedom to flirt and talk with others while still being out together. Others like Tom's roommate Andy, who agrees to keep Jamie’s reappearance on the down low. The time approaches 2:00 am and Jamie and Gary head back to her place. They are alone at last and waste no time with foreplay. They awake in the morning snuggled up with one another, clothes strewn around the room, feeling quite fulfilled.

Robbie [ 22 April 2006 ]
Reservation Street
Attending a university where the student body is 75% male is advantageous to women like Jamie and to men like Robbie. Robbie and Jamie had met and bonded through their love of drinking and men. Partners in crime, the two were often scheming on how to help the other bring home a particular boy. On this night Robbie was in attendance at the party with his housemate and good friend Tyler. Robbie teased Jamie as she flirted with boys left and right. There was nothing at the party that particularly interested Robbie. Then a call came in. It was the Finn. The Finn had met Jamie and Robbie on one of their nights out. Robbie was interested in the Finn, but the Finn was interested in Jamie. After fruitless attempts to take Jamie out the Finn was calling Robbie. But why? He knew Robbie was interested in him purely to hook up and he had already seemed to make it clear that he was not interested in men. The Finn was inviting him over to a party, however once Robbie arrived the two decided to take off together. Pedaling over to the Finn's place Robbie could not believe what he was about to get into. They stayed together that night, fooled around, and in the morning made nothing of it. Robbie went on his way. When later asked if that was indeed his bike at the Finn's house Robbie responded wearily yes. The response was a comforting "It's not the first time."

Jamie [ 22 April 2006 ]
Reservation Street
After much drinking recovery is important, but often time for recovery is hard to find. This is especially true on weekends. And so we introduce you to our first friend and our main character: Jamie. Jamie is a graduate student who is avoiding the real world by staying in school. She’s smart, but her focus is less than educational. At 22 she is younger than many of the other grad students and still revels in her ability to drink legally. Her goal to find a well off man and begin a family is thwarted only by her lust for drinking and fucking. Surrounded by men at a university where the ratio is 3:1, she finds herself spending more time at the bar and in bed than on campus working on her research, which when she first began graduate school one year ago, was her only interest.

Saturday finds Jamie recovering from senior walk, however her mind is racing with hopes for the night ahead. Tonight is the party. Likely the last time until the fall that she will hang out with the team. The team being her club lacrosse team, where she is one of two female members. The party celebrates the end of the school year and the graduation of two team members, Chris and John. Spending countless hours practicing with this group of guys is bound to lead to a few out of practice hook-ups. After a few make-out sessions with team members, Jamie took it upon herself to begin a list, the lacrosse list. A list of all team members with whom she had locked lips. On this evening the count stood at 7 with hopes for an increase.

The party was as usual, drinking, chatting, some took to dancing, others keg stands. After adding a drunken Chris to the list, Jamie was focusing on Alex, a cute freshmen on the team who seemed like good boy, but who’d likely be allowed a little kissing. Jamie decided to go with the innocent approach, and it worked all too well. She found herself lying in bed, Alex down below going to town. As he crawled up on top of her to initiate sex he asked, “Have you done this before?” in a tone that suggested he was a sex god and Jamie a trembling virgin.

Last Day of Class [ 21 April 2006 ]
Reservation Street
It is a tradition here that senior walk be held upon the last day of class. On this fateful day graduating seniors and friends begin a trek from north to south, crossing the bridge, and hitting every alcohol-serving establishment along the way. You see the university our friends attend is situated on one side of a waterway. On either side of the water sits a city. Dueling cities, one north the other south. A bridge crosses from one city to the other, from one downtown scene to the next. Each city has its own personality. But there is one thing to be noted about the students residing in both cities, they love to drink. Our friends were there for senior walk, but we won’t meet them just yet.

Senior walk happens once a year. Once a year the shadiest pubs, the hole-in-the-wall bars, the local liquor stores, and all the regular hot spots are filled nearly to the brim with college students. Students wander the streets, stopping traffic in the pursuit of the next bar, the next drink, the next group of people to celebrate with. They celebrate the end of the school year, graduation, and the beginning of summer. There will be fights, there will be puking, and our friends will be there, right in the middle of it all.

The Beginning [ 21 April 2006 ]
Reservation Street
Ah summer. The feeling comes around each year. The days warm up, the nights get hotter, fewer clothes are worn, additional alcohol is consumed. From the first day of summer this builds until the point when you can’t remember that last night you were sober. Or perhaps you can, and you find it a great accomplishment. This is the high point of summer and it lasts well into August. Our friends will reach that point. As the events unfold, we will recount them, following the residents of Reservation Street and their friends as they pursue higher degrees, random hook-ups, significant others, free booze, and good times.
